About Thai By Dave

The moment diners step inside Thai By Dave, the intimate yet vibrant atmosphere captures attention. The décor strikes a balance between contemporary touches and nods to traditional Thai aesthetics, creating a space that feels both cozy and distinctive. Patrons looking through Thai By Dave photos will notice the thoughtfully presented dishes, each plate inviting curiosity as much as hunger. Though the seating is somewhat limited, the layout avoids feeling cramped, encouraging leisurely meals where sharing plates seems natural and unhurried. Occasional buzz from fellow diners complements a service style that's unobtrusive yet attentive, lending the restaurant an unpretentious spirit that many appreciate in their culinary experiences.

Delving into what the menu provides, the variety extends beyond the usual to embrace less familiar regional specialties alongside classic staples such as Pad Thai and Green Curry. Some reviewers have noted that certain dishes lean towards a more restrained spice profile, which may please those new to Thai flavors but feel slightly underwhelming for spice enthusiasts. Nonetheless, the balance of sweet, sour, and savory through fresh herbs and authentic ingredients remains a highlight. The portion sizes correspond with the mid-range pricing, offering decent value without veering into the extravagant. Tasting the panang curry, for instance, reveals depth achieved through coconut milk and herbs, while the Crispy Morning Glory invites texture enthusiasts to linger over its crunchiness. These carefully balanced flavors emerge as testimonials to the kitchen’s attention to detail, often praised in numerous Thai By Dave reviews.

Engagement with this Bangkok-inspired establishment feels anchored in both consistency and subtle charm. The kitchen manages a steady pace, ensuring dishes arrive timely without compromising quality. For those researching Thai By Dave restaurant options in Brussels, the experience seems well-suited to casual dinners and small groups rather than large celebrations. There is a sense of genuine care in each plate that translates into an overall agreeable dining outing. While the interior lighting might skew slightly dim during late evenings, the warmth from the staff and the bright flavors from the kitchen effectively compensate, making the evening comfortable and relaxed rather than formal or rigid.

A Hidden Gem of Real Thai food! One of those places that feels like a well-kept secret. Cozy, unpretentious, and full of heart. The owner, Dave, is incredibly friendly and welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you feel like a guest in someone’s home rather than a customer. He takes time to chat with everyone and makes sure you’re happy with your meal. Behind the scenes, there are two amazing ladies in the kitchen who really know what they’re doing. The food is authentic, full of flavor, and cooked with love, just like you’d get in Thailand. Every dish I’ve tried tastes fresh, balanced, and perfectly seasoned. We tried the pork pad krapao and the crying tiger beef (see photo). If you're looking for real Thai food made by people who care, skip the chains and come here instead. It’s small, simple, and absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

I am Thai and I have to say the "Holy Basil with Beef" here is on FIRRRREEEE!! It was tasty! I wanted to order other dish as wall but the portion was big and I was full very quickly. The staff were so lovely and joyful. After a few days in Brussel, I really needed something spicy with rice and this place, save my life!!!

Thai by Dave in downtown Brussels is a welcoming, laid-back place with a great atmosphere and even better food. The staff are always friendly and helpful, making you feel right at home whether you’re a regular or just passing through. The menu offers a good variety of Thai classics, with something for everyone, from rich curries to fresh stir-fries. But the pad Thai is the standout. It’s packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and has that ideal balance of sweet, salty, and spicy. You can customize it with your choice of protein, and it never disappoints. It’s the kind of spot that works for a casual lunch, dinner with friends, or even takeout when you’re craving something reliable and delicious. If you’re in the city center and love Thai food, Thai by Dave is absolutely worth a visit.

Just lovely. Everything is great here. The décor is nice, the service is so pleasant, and there is a homely atmosphere to it all. The food itself is just superb. I ate vegetarian spring rolls and green curry, and it was just soooo good. And to top it off, they make tasty fresh ginger tea. This place makes me wish I lived in Brussels, so I could just keep coming back.

A lovely Thai restaurant in Brussels, just a short walk from the Palace landmark. The flavors are rich and authentic — I ordered papaya salad, larb, and tom yum kung, and everything tasted just like in Thailand. The staff are very kind, friendly, and take great care of the guests. Highly recommended!

The food was amazing. I would recommend the curry with duck, fried pork and papaya salad. I felt like I was back in Thailand again.
